San Pancho was prudently designed and constructed in the 1970's by former Mexican President Luis Echevarria. The village was intended to be a model for all third world countries. From the two schools, to a modern hospital and the orderly street development, his plan is a benefit for all who live and vacation in San Pancho today.
The town of San Pancho maintains the character of a small town, rich with culture, while providing amenities that make it a unique vacation spot. It is the ideal setting for those who want to experience the country while still remaining close to the major hub of Puerto Vallarta.
Each day you will be able to experience the warmth of San Pancho's sun kissed beach or explore the tropical jungle with its exotic flora and wildlife. From palm trees to the many beautiful native tropical flowers, with abundant natural wildlife, a tropical atmosphere surrounds our beautiful home.

San Pancho hosts a music festival the last weekend of February every year.
We enjoy ½ day fishing trips with Pando, a local fisherman, who will provide the best fishing experience along the coastline north of Puerto Vallarta. Catches include large Sailfish, Dorado (Mahi Mahi), Rooster Fish, Grouper, Red Snapper, and offshore Tuna & Marlin. Contact Pando through his sister Gabby who is the housekeeper for Casa Kalea and bartender for La Ola Rica (a fine local restaurant in town).
San Pancho beach and surrounding areas offer an array of surfing experiences. Sayulita, a 10 minute drive, is an ideal location to find quality surfing instruction. Waves in San Pancho are best when the creek flows to the ocean during the wet season (June - October), although fun, rideable waves arrive year round. Nearby Punta de Mita and Sayulita receive great quality; however, more crowded waves year round. An annual surf contest is held in Sayulita each January. San Pancho surf shop can arrange boat trips to isolated world-class surf breaks up and down the coast (including Chacala & Punta de Mita). Pando will also provide boat service to nearby isolated surf breaks, enabling a day of fishing and surfing if you wish.
